Azure AD: using email attribute for authentication

In Microsoft Azure you can register with the so-called “UPN” = User Principal Name or with an e-mail address defined as “e-Mail attribute”.

If the e-mail address is stored in the user profile in Azure AD as shown below, this e-mail can be used when logging into cloudplan.
The prerequisite is that the e-mail address used for registration or login is also stored in cloudplan as a user address.
